The Men's Groups Ministry at Southeast Christian Church exists to help men walk as Jesus walked (I John 2:6). Our passion is for men to be empowered, equipped, and unleashed for the Kingdom of God.

Men:
This is the very heart, passion, and vision of Men's Groups at Southeast Christian Church - to help you in taking the next step. You were created to make a difference and an impact. Join us and be strengthened in your walk with Jesus Christ.

Kurt Sauder - Men's Groups Minister

Come and See (John 1): For men checking out claims of Christ or men who are new in their Christian faith. Men's Groups offers large events (2,000+ men), such as the Wild Game Feed and Men's Night Out, to introduce guys to next-step opportunities in an exciting, non-threatening environment.

Come and Follow Me (Matthew 4:19): For men wanting to grow in their relationship with Christ. Whether you are a seeker, new believer, or mature man of faith, our large group (500+ men) Saturday AM Men's Bible Study is the place to be! We laugh and learn together as we study God's Word. The study requires no advance preparation or specific materials. It runs consecutively from fall through spring with short breaks for holidays.

Come and Abide in Me (John 15): At this level, men are given the opportunity to go deeper in smaller group settings. A variety of short-term group studies on relevant topics are available weekday mornings, noon, and evenings. As men study God's Word, they also develop relationships with other men. These studies require moderate amounts of preparation and usually involve purchasing a specific resource.

As the Father Has Sent Me so Send I You (John 20:21):  The Men's Groups philosophy of ministry is based on the discipling command of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). In a small group setting, through a 21-month intensive disciplesheip curriculum (DC), men are immersed in the Word of God and trained to be leaders who embody the character and heart of Christ, proactively multiplying themselves in the lives of others. DC is not for the faint of heart! Men commit to approximately three-five hours of preparation weekly, memorize 70 verses of Scripture, and read heavily both in the Word and in other Christian literature. Presently, we have more than 220 men involved and more than 150 past graduates.

Additional Men's Groups Opportunities:

  • Men's Groups has a Men Mentoring Men Ministry that pairs men one-on-one for help and encouragement.
  • Men's Groups has a Men's Ministry Outdoors that partners with Bass Pro Shops and Hunters for the Hungry to feed the less fortunate and homeless. Our 2007-2008 goal is to provide 100,000 meals.
  • Men's Groups is partnering with several local churches and churches throughout the US to help train leaders through the DC Ministry.

Men who walk as Jesus walked (I John 1:6) will love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. They will love others as themselves. They will become better husbands, fathers, workers, neighbors, friends, and better models for others to follow.
