Beyond Southeast . . . Across the World

As Southeast has grown, so have the opportunities to be involved in our community, the U.S., and around the world.  There are three areas that oversee the 16.5 % of the budget that is set aside for ministry outside our church walls:

• The Serve Ministry, focusing on the seven county area of our community
• The Outreach Ministry, focusing on church planting and educational institutions in the U.S. that are preparing the next generation of Christian leaders
• The Missions Ministry, focusing primarily on international ministry.

Missions Ministry

Southeast Missions is currently partnering with seven “Primary Strategic Initiatives” in Cuba, Poland, Central Asia, India, East Africa, West Africa, and Sweden.  In addition, Missions is supportive of nearly 50 church members who have answered God’s call for them to minister in faraway places. 

Opportunities for Involvement

GO:   Missions offers dozens of short-term trips each year to introduce you to our partners and involve you in their work.  Seeing a mission field with your own eyes can change your world view and help you better understand the physical and spiritual needs of people everywhere.   Check our website early in the year for a trip list and online registration.

GIVE:  If you tithe, you are already involved in Missions and Outreach.  The church invests 16.5% of all contributions in the work to multiply the Gospel message elsewhere.  However, most missionaries have financial needs beyond what they receive from their supporters and more is needed for ministries to grow.  In addition, economic conditions and the devaluation of the U.S. dollar are constraining their work.  Pray about ways God can enable you to provide a missionary with financial support.

PRAY:  Our missionaries are on the front lines of battle.  They need you!  Through your prayers they will be strengthened and you become part of the mission.  Together, your actions and your prayers will extend the Kingdom of God.
